We have managed to update some aspects of the website, but that work is not yet finished. We have also begun a project to reduce our f ixed costs by seeking out better value alternatives. We are also at the very early stages of a conversation with a major investor. But we can’t say more. And it isn’t done until it’s done. VOLUNTEERS Yes, we need contacts, and funding, and profile and-and-and but most of all we need more volunteers to make all these things happen. Although we are a tiny concern, we have many of the same needs as a commercial company (IT & Security, Marketing, Social Media, Financial Control, people to write articles, people to contact corporates and so on.) As we discussed in the last Newsletter, we are not looking for carpenters and builders, our strategy being to outsource this, as do most projects of this type. If you can invest a few hours every month to help drive our endeavour to celebrate and educate the nation by means of a flying reproduction of the 1927 Schneider Trophy winning seaplane in the air by the centenary of Britain’s outright win in 1931 – then email. ian@supermarineseaplane.co.uk
